Drew Marrufo's Career Arch

Drew Marrufo began his high school career at Santa Teresa High School where he was a 4-year letterman before signing as a catcher to the University of New Mexico out of Santa Teresa and was on campus in the Fall of 2018. After a redshirt year due to surgery, he was converted to a Pitcher for the 2019 season where he would go on to pitch 16 innings for the Lobos.

Drew entered the transfer portal in 2020 and decided to start training at Beimel Elite Athletics in the Summer due to COVID-19. After taking a gap year and training in the facility, he earned a scholarship to Central Methodist University, the preseason #2 NAIA school in the country.

After his college career he began as an intern at Beimel Elite Athletics in the Fall of 2022 and trained through out the year where he would later be selected as the #1 pick in the 2023 Pioneer Baseball League Tryout by the Boise Hawks. He also worked his way into a bigger role and became the Pitching Coach at Beimel Elite Athletics in El Paso. He will be returning to play for the Boise Hawks in 2024. Drew made 34 appearances with 43.0 IP in 2023, which is the most among returnees.
